While I am thankful for what I have, I also keep in my mind, my heart, and my prayers, I also keep in mind that there are those in our world that are not as blessed as I am. I try to share what I am able and wish that I were more well off in order to be able to help those who are not so well blessed. But I realize that I probably never will be, so I don't concern myself with that as much but what I do try to do is help those people and animals that need my help to the best of my ability.
There are so many that need our help these days...so I urge each of you to do as I try to do, and that is to not only be thankful for our blessings but, more importantly, try and BE a blessing to those who are in need...regardless of how much we are able to or as little as we can afford. Keep in mind that being a friend is a gift in and of itself, and even if you can provide only a hug and a sympathetic ear...the fact that you care is probably the most important thing in the world to someone!
So, keep that in mind at this beginning of the holiday season and strive to be something to someone...a person with a heart!
"I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for "how we did it" type books documenting how people transition from urban to rural life. So when I came across The Accidental Farmers, I knew this was a must-read."
