8 Checks to Run Before Firing Your New Gun
"In pursuing both personal and professional shooting endeavors over the last several years, I've prepared a fair number of new and used firearms for first-time trips to the shooting range.  Experience has taught me that one can never assume a gun is ready to shoot until it has been thoroughly checked out.  While some gun problems will not present themselves until the gun is fired, many potential issues can be resolved or avoided if they are identified before the trigger is pressed. Here are a few important steps to take before loading a new gun, or a used gun you have never fired:"

Climate Scientist Blows Whistle on Jet Aerosol Dumps – Chemtrails
"This video excerpt from Dr. Kirkby’s 2009 CERN presentation makes it clear that IPCC climate scientists, Geoengineers and government agencies are fully aware that jet aircraft are dumping aerosols into the atmosphere with the effect of deliberate and covert climate manipulation.  But even Dr. Kirkby may not be aware that these aerosols contain much more than chemicals for climate manipulation.  Bio-engineered pathogens have been systematically sprayed on entire populations to infect the environment with a “New Biology” of cross-domain organisms that manifest as “Morgellons Syndrome” in man.   [Chemtrails and Synthetic Alien Biology]"

The Single Best Piece of Survival Gear for Emergency Core Temperature Control
"Mother Nature is always true to her nature.  You can’t change her. She’s beautifully rugged, awe-inspiring, and occasionally deadly.  Best be prepared when she tries to make your life miserable.  Like duct tape and WD-40 in my tool box, there aren’t many Core Temperature Control dilemmas my reusable emergency space blanket can’t fix.  This may be the best 12 ounces you can add to your hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, and/or 72 hour emergency kit.  Mors Kochanski of Karamat Wilderness Ways, the Godfather of modern bushcraft, came up with a brilliant idea called The Super Shelter.  His design takes advantage of radiant heat from fire and a layer of clear plastic sheeting to help you survive extremely cold conditions."

Out-of-date health advice from the Veterans Administration
"Last month I went for my yearly exam at the Veteran’s Administration.   Most men my age are carrying a full zip-lock bag of drugs to show the doctor.  I carried my iPhone and a book to read while waiting.  I’d say I’m pretty lucky at sixty-five.  We are hearing a lot these days about the lack of viable health service administered to our Veterans, from long waits for very needed operations, administering a wrong or unneeded drug, to being grossly underfunded.  The following is my first hand experience…"

Pharmaceutical employees arrested after causing 64 deaths with drug tainted with fungal meningitis
"In what’s being called the “biggest criminal case ever brought in the U.S. over contaminated medicine,” U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz is flabbergasted at the negligence of a Massachusetts-based pharmacy, whose employees are now being held responsible for the deaths of a large number of people since 2012.  According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Stuart Delery, the pharmacy’s employees showed ”not only a reckless disregard for federal health and safety regulations, but also an extreme and appalling disregard for human life.”  Since 2012, a silent outbreak of fungal meningitis has stricken over 750 people in 21 states.  Sixty-four people have been pronounced dead since then, unable to recover from the debilitating fungal infection.  What did all these people have in common?  They received steroid injections from their local hospital.  According to new federal allegations, it turns out that the pain medications were tainted with the fungal meningitis, and they all came from one place — a pharmacy in Massachusetts."

Remember This When the Media Tells You “The Cop Had to Shoot Him Because He Was Armed"
"A disturbing confession by John Elliot, a former Fairfax County police officer, illustrates exactly what happens when cops try to get away with murdering American citizens.  Recall all of the cases you’ve heard of officers shooting someone and moments later conveniently “finding a gun” near the dead person’s body.  In these cases, the victim’s family will typically come forward and state that their dead loved one never had a gun and, in fact, never even owned any guns or knew how to use them.  But once the story of a gun being “found” on the victim is promulgated by the mainstream media, the family’s testimony gets drowned out.  How is it that these guns (sometimes knives) keep showing up on people after being shot by police?  The answer:  throw-away weapons."

Want to cultivate a vegetable garden?  Here are some tips to get started!
"Creating a vegetable garden is not only about enjoying tasty foods in a convenient manner but about having access to foods that are safe for consumption.  Considering all of the pesticides that are typically used in growing the many vegetables that are sold in markets, taking control by growing them from the safety of one’s own yard is the best bet for keeping health intact."

Four surprising uses for hydrogen peroxide
"Hydrogen peroxide is an odorless, colorless chemical compound comprised of water and oxygen.  It was first identified and isolated by the French chemist Louis Jacques Thenard in 1818 and, by the beginning of the 20th century, had become one of Europe’s most popular surface disinfectants due to the speed with which it kills microorganisms through oxidation.  Hydrogen peroxide is still found in most chemists today, and remains a much-loved alternative to bleach due to its low cost and environmentally friendly nature.  However, this germicidal agent is highly versatile and provides far more uses than most people realize."

FDA seeks to ban donut and cake sprinkles as latest wave in big-government war against trans fat
"The never-resting enemies of personal liberty at the FDA are targeting a beloved childhood favorite in their jihad against trans fats: sprinkles.  Early next year, the FDA is expected to finalize a new regulation intended to eradicate even trace amounts of partially hydrogenated oils, known as trans fats, from our diets.  Although the amount of trans fats Americans consume has declined significantly in recent years, the FDA’s quest to completely eliminate a particular type of trans fat threatens to eliminate the noble “sprinkle,” used to decorate holiday treats and donuts.  Even a small amount of joy is suspect in the FDA’s brave, new, food-monitored world."

AR Basics:  Shooting Positions
"I’ve learned a lot about shooting positions, both from my own experiences and through discussions with those of my students who have been involved in actual shootings.  I’ve found that, whether their background is with the military or law enforcement, a pretty clear picture has emerged.  Around 93 percent of such encounters occur when the shooter is in a position other than prone.  That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t practice prone; but rather it suggests there should be some level of focus on other positions that are more likely to occur in a real-world shooting incident.  To reinforce the point, many hunters and competition shooters will attest that they are often forced into non-standard shooting positions when practicing their craft.  It may also be true that getting steady in a less than optimal position will require the use of support from a fence post, guard rail, parapet, corner of a building or the hood of a car.  Staying as close to the ground as possible is key to having sound positions. In other words, don’t stand when you can kneel, don’t kneel when you can sit, and don’t sit when you can go prone."

The top 7 natural cures for cancer revealed
"Most of the alternative remedies that are effective with cancer are not as profitable or even patentable since they’re not novel.  And practitioners who practice other remedies are in peril from federal and state agencies, the FDA and the American Medical Association (AMA), who intend to maintain their medical monopoly no matter how safe and effective other methods are.  Here are seven major leads to the many empirically proven natural cancer cures and healers who were suppressed by the mainstream medical establishment."

Homeowner With a Gun Warns Armed Intruders Not to Take Another Step Toward Him. They Refuse — and It Turns Out to Be Their Final Mistake.
"In the space of five days the city of Memphis, Tennessee, has seen its second fatal shooting by a homeowner against reported armed home intruders.  TheBlaze reported the first instance which occurred Tuesday when a woman answered a knock at a front door.  When two men reportedly forced their way in — one of them putting a gun to her neck — the homeowner fired multiple shots at them.  One alleged intruder died and the other escaped.  On Saturday a similar scenario went down about 9 miles southeast of Tuesday’s shooting when three suspected burglars — two of them armed — entered a residence..."
(Sgt Trainer:  We reported yesterday about a similar situation.  It seems that the one from yesterday was ALSO in Memphis.)

The Disturbing Facts Regarding Refined Sugar
"Because of the industrial processes involved in manufacturing, sugar has practically no nutrition value:  The vitamins and enzymes have become denatured (lose their molecular shape) and thus fail to contribute to the body’s metabolic requirements.  Refined sugar is also devoid of mineral content.  For those who frequently eat significant amounts of refined sugar products, this can lead to many problems.  Because a large intake of sugar causes a sharp rise in blood glucose, the pancreas jets out high levels of insulin as a sudden response.  The insulin converts glucose into glycogen as storage in the liver."

Confirmed:  Fast and Furious docs show Obama admin was using the program to promote gun control
"It is what was widely suspected by cynical critics of the Federal government such as the writers of this blog, but now we have official confirmation that the Obama administration was using Operation Fast and Furious as an excuse to advocate for stricter gun control measures, even as the program funneled thousands of rifles to Mexican drug cartels.  The newly released collection of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious also clearly show that this was not a botched operation by “rogue” agents as previously espoused by the Obama administration..."

Do You Have A Prepper's Mentality?
"As I sat down to write this article about the Preppers Mentality, I thought I would Google the subject to see what else has been written.  As is true for most of you, Google begins to auto-populate results as you type in the letters in the search box.  Where am I going with this, you ask?

p-r-e-p-p-e-r-s   m-e-n-t

and here come the results:

preppers mental illness, preppers mental health, preppers mental disorder.

Gee, are these the most common search terms related to Preppers Mentality?  Are we all crazy?  Most people’s perceptions are developed through the news media, television and movies.  Most mainstream media reports about Preppers are negative.  There are several responsible journalists that portray Preppers in a positive light, when they can.  When people think television, they think “Doomsday Preppers”.  Love the show, but most times I don’t think that National Geographic does the Prepper community any favors.  Do we care?  We shouldn’t, but it’s hard not to get butt hurt when you are constantly vilified or portrayed as “crazy”."

7 Off-grid Projects for Survivalists
"Going partially or totally off grid is very doable.  There are advantages to not relying too much or completely on commercial electricity; one of which is you save money on bills.  Another of course is, it prepares you better in case the grid collapses due to a disaster or other reasons.  The following are DIY off grid projects that include making your own solar power system, powerless refrigerator, rocket stove and rainwater collection system.  Here are 7 projects that can be helpful if you are planning to go completely or partially off-grid."

Interesting Products in Freeze-Dried Food of Which You Might Not Be Aware
"Many of us who have a long term interest in preparedness, have an interest particularly in the #10 industrial sized cans of freeze dried foods.  One of the questions I am asked quite often is the difference between freeze dried food and dehydrated food for long term storage.  Dehydrated foods are heated and water is removed.  However 20-50% of the water remains.  As a result, the food can only be stored for between 1-8 years depending upon the product.  In addition, as a result of the water which remains in the product, either salt, sugar or a preservative mist be added to permit the 1-8 year shelf life.  Dehydrated foods are generally cheaper than freeze dried.  Whenever I can I try to stock the industrial sized cans of freeze dried food.  Freeze dried food is produced by a different process entirely.  The product is frozen and then placed in a vacuum, and then about 98% of the water is removed."

Plantain & Kelp Plaque-Fighting Tooth Powder
"Before toothpaste there was . . . tooth powder.  Glycerin was later added to turn the powder into paste for a more convenient way to keep teeth clean.  Glycerin itself is a safe product, but may prevent remineralization since it coats your teeth.  In addition, according to this abstract, tooth powder may be more effective than paste at removing plaque – another great reason to use tooth powder.  I was intrigued by a tooth powder recipe in The Wild Wisdom of Weeds by Katrina Blair that used plantain, kelp and clay.  Because the author didn’t give the benefits of each ingredient, I had to do some research.   My recipe is based on the one in the book, although I recommend adding much more essential oil and some unrefined stevia leaf powder to take away some of the bitterness of the other ingredients."

My Opinion:  Why I Feel Survival Moms Should Carry
"I feel very strongly that women should not only carry a firearm, but be very knowledgeable on the gun they carry, know gun safety and know how to very accurately use their gun.  Women and children are vulnerable and I feel today, more than ever that women should be knowledgeable on the varying ways they can protect themselves and their families from two and even four legged predators.  Not to mention, it is our RIGHT!  Ladies, if you are unfamiliar with a firearm, you can get assistance with AGirlAndAGun website.  I highly recommend them and know that you will be well taken care of.  I had the privilege to interview Julianna Crowder who established A Girl and A Gun.  They are spread out all over the United States and I am sure there will be a chapter near you."

School teachers forced to wear scarlet letter flu masks, gloves when they refuse flu shots that don't even work
"The vaccine mafia is upping the stakes in its endless war against free thinking and personal choice.  A shocking new report indicates that some daycare workers in Texas are now being forced to wear face masks and gloves throughout the duration of "flu season" if they refuse to be injected with live viruses and mercury.  Citing a letter received from a concerned daycare worker in the College Station area of central Texas, VacTruth.com reports that at least one daycare center in the region, Covenant Presbyterian Children's Center (CPCC), has implemented the egregious policy, which is akin to forcibly labeling all resisters with a giant scarlet letter in order to coerce compliance."

Mushrooms and onions contain immune-enhancing polysaccharides and phytonutrients
"Plants have had to evolve through various environmental stressors and have developed very sophisticated systems to protect them from predators and the elements.  These complex systems offer humans unique survival advantages through reducing oxidative stress and improving immune system coordination.  Mushrooms and onions are packed full of immune-enhancing polysaccharides and phytonutrients.  Nature provides an amazing array of resources to improve our health and boost our immunity.  Mushrooms and onions are a tasty combination in a dish and contain an array of phytochemicals that have a profound impact on human physiology."

Obamacare causing massive wave of hospital closures across USA
"A number of acute-care hospitals closed across the United States last year -- 18 to be exact -- and experts who see a raft of new regulatory processes being heaped upon the healthcare industry in the coming years, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, believe that a wave of additional closures are ahead.  As noted by WorldNetDaily, a dozen more hospitals have closed in the U.S. so far this year in rural areas alone; more are getting ready to be shuttered.  But Dr. Lee Hieb, M.D., says this is just the beginning.  "Events happening now give us some idea of what medicine will be reduced to in the future," she wrote in her upcoming book, Surviving the Medical Meltdown: Your Guide to Living Through the Disaster of Obamacare, which is being published by WND Books."

No Charges for Police Chief Who Used Badge to Try and Intimidate Teen into Posing Nude
"
New London’s former Police chief David Seastrand will not face any charges for using his authority to intimidate an 18-year-old college student into taking nude photos for him in exchange for dropping her underage alcohol charges.  The incident began on March 2, 2013, as Westfall was headed home from a party.  Seastrant stopped the teen for carrying a can of beer.  Westfall was subsequently charged with giving a false name and for being in possession of a beer can.  According to the Union Leader, four days later, Seastrand called her to the police station.  The former chief told Westfall he needed to meet with her alone, and began discussing alternative measures of punishment, like community service, for the misdemeanors.  Westfall, who worked frequently as a babysitter, and who was planning to major in early childhood education, said she grew more scared.  Seastrand explained, she said, that they would go into the basement.  “He said he would grab the station’s camera to shoot a series of nude photos of me, and then he’d hold it over my head for two years to be sure I didn’t commit another crime,” Westfall said."
