"Everyone wants to be well-liked and respected, but when you trip over yourself to be nice, you might be doing yourself a disservice. People might perceive you as indecisive and perhaps even disingenuous. Instead, try being honest, polite, and assertive."
"If you become lost or stranded what is your first thought. To get safely back home of course, and in some cases this may mean you have to be rescued. You do not have your cell phone, and if you do, the battery may be dead or there is no signal, so what do you do. The soon to be released New Leatherman Signal Survivalist Multi-Tool will have an onboard whistle for signaling. The whistle is a signaling device that does not rely on technology, which can fail you when you need it most. Not only will the Leatherman Signal include a signal whistle it will also include a Ferrocerium fire starter as part of the tool. Fire is a priority in any survival situation, and you will always have the means to create one with the Leatherman Signal."
"A police union in Georgia is pushing back against legislation that would limit the use of no-knock raids, arguing that privacy rights don’t trump public safety. Bou-Bou’s Law, named for a 19-month-old boy badly injured when a SWAT officer tossed a flash grenade into his crib during a no-knock raid last year in Habersham County, would prohibit such investigations between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and place other limits on surprise raids. The law would also instruct law enforcement agencies to develop written policies and training for executing no-knock warrants, ensure supervising officers are present, and require assurance that human lives or evidence are in imminent danger."
(Sgt Trainer: When the nuclear disaster at Fukushima occurred, I stopped eating any seafood that came from the Pacific Ocean. I also stopped eating any food that originated in Japan. Some folks thought I was nuts...just as they thought I was nuts when I kept warning about not eating seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, etc. These disasters are catching up with us in our daily lives and even after almost four years the event at Fukushima, people are still consuming seafood from the Pacific even after repeated warnings. Caveat Emptor!)

"BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A health warning. The extremely contagious measles virus is back. An outbreak that started at Disneyland is starting to sweep the country. Measles was thought to have been eliminated in the U.S. 15 years ago. Now its back, targeting those who haven’t been immunized. Measles has a 21-day incubation period, meaning people can travel far before they know they’re sick. “We’re seeing the resurgence of measles because a lot of the parents are not getting their childrenvaccinated,” said Dr. Peter Andrews, Sinai Hospital. Dr. Andrews says that problem is prime. In Maryland, all students K-12 must get two shots of the measles vaccine. “It just didn’t make sense to me,” said one Annapolis mom. In a revealing interview with WJZ, an Annapolis mom explained why she didn’t vaccinate her kids. “I didn’t understand why a little human had to get so many drugs at one time,” she said."
(Sgt Trainer: Pushing for increased vaccinations that contain ingredients that have been proven to be dangerous to people? A lot of people nowadays have suppressed immune systems because of our society's push to not get dirty and play outdoors.)
"Who would have believed that we’d ever come to this? The person in charge of every aspect of the federal enforcement of our immigration laws just proclaimed to a gathering of mayors that he is not going to do his job, he is not going to enforce immigration law, and that nobody in the future will return to enforcement once his treasonous criminal tenure at DHS has ended. That’s exactly what just happened when DHS Director Jeh Johnson addressed a meeting of mayors from around the nation in Washington DC on Thursday. It wasn’t long ago that this type of criminality by a government official would not have been tolerated, let alone promoted. Johnson and Obama both would have at a minimum been impeached by now. Things have changed. It is becoming accepted that America is ruled by criminals who are above the law. As long as they make a semi-convincing argument, no real challenge is brought forth. Johnson was touting his program of not enforcing the law, a “deferred action” in which action continues to be deferred in perpetuity. Johnson said, “Deferred action is not a lawful status, it’s not like lawful permanent residence. It is temporary in nature, for a two-year period. And it basically says, for a two-year period, this individual is lawfully present in the United States.”
"We all know the refrain “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, but sometimes forget those 3 words are phrased in that order for a reason – their order of impact. We can help the environment the most by reducing consumption. The second biggest impact comes from reuse. So, whenever possible, it’s better to reuse than to recycle. Recycling is great, but many resources are consumed in the recycling process. It’s easy to throw an empty container in the recycling bin, but if you can actually find a practical new use for that container you’re helping the environment even more."
"The Survivalism era has grown more and more with time as natural disasters, social disruptions or extreme emergencies have taken place all over the country. Survivalists work to be prepared for anything and everything in order to overcome any obstacle in their path. While some things are obvious, there are often things missed that could be a lifesaver when the disaster hits."
"According to some people, the end of the world is just around the corner. Because of one reason or another, an economic collapse, terrorism strike, rise of communism or planed globalist population reduction by the new world order, we are supposed to see a surge of disasters world wide. Even in developed nations expect cities to burn and the masses to riot any time now. This speech has changed little in over half a century. But wait! Any minute now! Cities will burn, people will stave, the hordes of looters will flow out of the cities, you’ll see, you’ll… Bullshit. And it’s the same BS doomers have been preaching for several decades now. But lets talk about the real fights ahead of us while we’re at it. You see, while in parts of the world war is destroying lives by the thousands every single day, and there is in fact true hunger in many countries, for those lucky enough to live in developed nations chances are they will be facing different challenges."
"Like many of us, the idea of becoming a prepper came gradually. Living in South Florida, hurricanes were always a thought no matter what we did. Even as a child, I can remember “helping” my Father build a new fence in the back yard and he would remark that the fence would not stand up to a Category 2 hurricane. Everything we did had a hurricane in the back of our minds. Later, I joined the United States Army and prepping took on a different meaning. Obviously, staying in physical shape was a daily routine however; we were always ready to go at a moment’s notice. A “B” bag was packed should the need arise and my LBE (Load Bearing Equipment) was in a constant state of readiness. After leaving the Military and settling down into an office job, wife, kids and the American dream, I eventually took notice of the things around me."
