Texas Border Sheriff Ends Partnership with Crime Stoppers
"In an effort to clean up the image of corruption in law enforcement, a Texas border sheriff has cut ties with the civilian run Crime Stoppers program after its integrity continuously came into question.  Along the Texas border, the Crime Stoppers program is a civilian-run partnership that raises funds to pay rewards for anonymous tips that are called in to law enforcement.  Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra said he was separating his department from Crime Stoppers after a thorough review of all of the departments in his office.  The sheriff’s office will continue to take calls to the tip-line and through their main number.  Guerra took office as an interim sheriff in early 2014 when, as previously reported by Breitbart Texas, long time Sheriff Lupe Trevino resigned and was later arrested in a corruption investigation for taking money from a drug cartel member.   Trevino who is now serving a five year prison sentence was the last arrest following almost two years of scandals dealing with various conspiracies.  They including the takedown of the Crime Stoppers coordinator and various members of a drug unit tied to the theft of narcotics."

Media Misrepresents Poverty Rate of US Children by More Than Double
"In a breathless, Drudge Report-linked headline, the Washington Post reported last week that the “Majority of U.S. public school students are in poverty.”  A Huffington Post piece by Rebecca Klein, published 12 minutes earlier, sported a similar headline, “More Than Half Of American Schoolchildren Now Live In Poverty.”  The only problem with these headlines, and the stories beneath them, is that they aren’t true—not even close.  Both pieces were triggered by a report from the Southern Education Foundation.  The WaPo piece, by education reporter Lyndsey Layton, said the Southern Education Foundation claimed that “51 percent of students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in the 2012-2013 school year were eligible for the federal program that provides free and reduced-price lunches.”  Layton goes on to write that “The lunch program is a rough proxy for poverty…” with Klein similarly noting that, “Eligibility for free or subsidized lunch for students from low-income households serves as a proxy for gauging poverty…”  Except that it’s no such thing."

The Muslim population of America is expanding at warp speed
"Even when Muslims are a minority population they can and do transform whole cultures and societies.  And not for the better.  Why?  Because their holy book is a totalitarian ideology founded on submission and world domination.  And toward that end, Islam is on the march. Meanwhile, the West remains mired in cowardice and complicity.   Nowhere can this be seen more clearly than in Europe, which is on the fast track to join the Caliphate.  Not to be outdone by Europe’s madness, the United States is traveling down the same bloody path, importing large numbers of Muslims from Islamic countries thanks to the Islamophile sitting in the Oval Office and a nation full of dhimmis.  Estimates on the number of Muslims living in the US vary, ranging from 3 million to 7 million.  Whatever the precise number, it’s already outdated as it rises with each passing nanosecond.  Since 9/11, there has been a dramatic uptick in immigration from Islamic countries with a 66% increase in the past decade.  And things are just warming up. Islam is now the fastest growing religion in America.  Strange, is it not?  War has been waged against America in the name of Islam and we’ve opened our doors ever-wider to those who adhere to the very ideology that mandates our destruction."

Well Known Scientist Sounds The Alarm On Geoengineering
"Marvin Herndon, Ph.D. , is a scientist of considerable notoriety.  Marvin contacted me recently to express his growing concerns about the constant toxic aerosol spraying of our planet and the obvious human health and environmental ramifications we all face from this contamination.  Dr. Herndon has shown a level of courage that is so very rare in the circles of the science community, he is taking a stand on the aerosol spraying issue and making his voice heard.  There are so many in academia who have sheepishly hidden themselves in the shadows while they perform whatever task is asked of them in exchange for a paycheck and a pension.  Marvin is the antithesis of this.  He has sacrificed much in his life and career in order to stand on his convictions.  I solute Dr. Herndon’s determination and courage, his recent letter to authorities in his region is below.  May his outspokenness be an example to others in the science community."

How the UN Is Confiscating American Homes and Controlling All Food and Energy
"In times of crises, the government has proven, time and time again, that it cannot be counted on to adequately protect the American people.  As the American people have not prepared for the coming dark days, they will be vulnerable to starvation, dehydration, cholera, pandemics and attacks from resource-deficient  looters.  Will the government be there to save them?  History has already answered this question in the negative.  Events such as Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, L.A. riots and the Ferguson riots have repeatedly demonstrated that when trouble comes, the American people will be on their own.  When disaster strikes, it will take less than 24 hours until grocery stores are empty, the utilities are down and neighbors begin to prey upon neighbors.  Certainly, no government can be all things to all people.  Subsequently, the government should be in the business of encouraging its citizens to be independent.  However, the Obama administration has taken the opposite approach.  Instead of the government empowering the people to be self-sufficient, this administration is punishing independence and self sufficiency.
Any aware person knows that Agenda 21 is predicated on eliminating private property ownership and keeping all people within the “system”.  Drinking raw milk, engaging in off the grid living and heating your home with a wood stove is forbidden.  All of these prohibitions and more are presently encircling America as the Agenda 21 noose is tightening around collective necks.  Many unaware Americans still mistakenly believe that they have dominion over their lives and personal choices.  These same people mistakenly believe that the government does not care if you want to live independently of their corporate cronies  who own the utilities.  They want you in their system so they can continue to exploit your resources for their benefit."

The Dire State of Our Nation (What You Won’t Hear from the Politicians)
"No matter what the politicians say about how great America is and how we, as a people, will always triumph, the fact is that the nation seems to be imploding.  Despite the dire state of our nation, however, you can rest assured that none of the problems that continue to plague our lives and undermine our freedoms will be addressed by our so-called elected representatives in any credible, helpful way, and certainly not during a State of the Union address."

Morgellon’s cured with Salt, Coffee & Turmeric bath
"
Morgellon’s Disease was named by one woman who wanted to give a name to her son’s symptoms.  She named it after an ancient disease where black hairs came out of the skin.  However, the Morgellon’s disease of today is a totally new disease, which is caused by nanotechnology.  That is, some of Morgellon fibers are machines, microscopic technology.  The famous GoldenRod nanotechnology fiber pictured above is a good example.  We do not know if it was released on purpose (which is quite possible) or by accident.  What we do know is that there are many different kinds of Morgellon’s.  While one should never used the word cure because the Medical Mafia have a virtual copyright on it, maybe I can use it this time because as of Jan 2015, doctors refuse to admit that this disease exists.  This may not be just due to close-mindedness – they may be under orders to do this.  People who have this terrible disease go almost insane with the itching.  I can’t imagine how they manage to get through the day.  Some have even committed suicide over it.  I won’t post pictures of the awful lesions that can occur anywhere on the body, or even all over the body, but if you have a strong stomach, here are a few (link).  Many people who have this awful disease report having fibers come out of their body which are red, blue, white and other colors.  A Morgellon’s sufferer whom I had talked with a few weeks previously, phoned me saying that she had cured her Morgellon’s Disease!  She was crying and crying because she was so happy!  She had been suffering for two months, after she got bitten by a bug at the Salvation Army.  After that she had terrible lesions that would not heal, and saw the worms etc. that the doctors ignored.  Eventually she had 60 lesions all over her body and back. It hurt incredibly day and night, and she could feel things running up and down her back.  She had fibers coming out.  Already her lesions are starting to heal.  This lady worked with another Morgellon’s sufferer to invent this cure-  Here is what she did."

AK-47s:  Soon to be made in USA
"An American gun company has found a way around the anti-Russia sanctions that have banned imports of the Kalashnikov assault rifle:  Make them here, in the U.S.A.  The U.S.-made gun will have same name as the original: AK-47, arguably the most ubiquitous assault rifle in the world.  The gun will be made by American company RWC, which is the official importer and distributor of Kalashnikov AK-47s.  The company had to stop importing the guns after the U.S. imposed sanctions in July against Russia for its role in the Ukraine crisis.  RWC said it is not permitted to have any contact with the Russian company, Kalashnikov Concern, which makes the AK-47s.  “We are not permitted to pick up the phone and to talk to them,” said Thomas McCrossin, CEO of RWC, which owns the Kalashnikov USA brand.  “We were forced to stop doing business with them because of the sanctions.”  RWC, based in Tullytown, Pa., has the rights to the AK-47 Kalashnikov brand of guns, which has been produced in the Soviet Union after World War II."

Snake Bite
"Several herbs have been found to be effective in treating snake bites.  However, herbal treatment for snake bites are basically aimed at fast recovery and should be initiated only after the initial emergency medical treatment has been done.  In fact, it is advisable to start herbal treatment for snake bites only when the victim has recovered sufficiently to leave the hospital.  This is truer for children who have been bitten by snakes.  You should always remember that you need to seek emergency medical help if your child has been bitten by a snake.  Don't waste time unnecessarily to find the snake or any other reason.  Herbs like Echinacea and goldenseal facilitate in treating as well as preventing infections - even those that may be caused due to a snake bite.  These two herbs are known to possess antibiotic characteristics and aid in strengthening the immune system.  If your child has been bitten by a snake and is just out of the hospital after the emergency medical treatment, you may give him/ her one dosage of a blended formula of these two herbs thrice daily for five subsequent days.  Later, reduce the dosage to two every day for another five days.  Here is a word of caution.  Never give Echinacea doses to your child for over ten days at a stretch.  In case you ignore this warning, you will find that the herbal treatment with Echinacea has been losing its usefulness after ten days.  Garlic is another herb that possesses potent antibiotic properties and is effective in detoxifying blood.  When your child has recovered from the initial consequences of a snake bite, you may give him/ her one garlic tablet supplement daily for two weeks to help them to recuperate faster.  Alternately, you may also give your child one clove of fresh garlic thrice daily for two weeks."

It’s Time To Stop Perpetuating The Myth That Sunlight Causes Cancer
"An individual’s view of health determinants is directly correlated to their sources and how they process information.  Regardless of its accuracy, when something is repeated a sufficient number of times, people will start to believe it.  The cancer and sunscreen industries have made it their mission to convince the world that sunlight is a primary cause of skin cancer, when it fact it has been shown to prevent it.  In fact, considerable evidence shows that blocking the sun’s rays from reaching our skin with, for example sunscreen, significantly decreases our uptake of vitamin D levels, leading to higher mortality, critical illness, mental health disorders and cancer itself."

If the SHTF We’re Screwed
(Sgt Trainer:  From a writer in the UK)
"
Yes, compared to the vast majority of the population I am prepared, but in relation to where I need to be, I am not.  This is not entirely my fault.  This site is predominantly read by Americans.  What I have learned about prepping I have learned mostly from Americans, but the problem is, the UK is not set up to allow me to prep the American way.  As an example, pressure canning.  Ever tried to buy one in the UK?  Go on, give it a go.  God Bless Amazon eh?  If you can actually find a company to ships to the UK that is.  So as the hours turn into days, and days into weeks you are just starting to give up hope when an email to the 74th pressure canner company yields a result.  Back to Amazon, a couple of clicks and you’re almost home.  Then you get to checkout and find that the postage is the same as an air ticket to Brazil.  I knew they were heavy, but I could fly my ten-year-old to Rio for that price.  So, back to the iPad to email a couple of chefs I know and a few celebrity chefs that I don’t.  Their verdict is unanimous, you cannot can in a pressure cooker…well you can but you have no idea if the pressure is constant and the food is bacteria free.  Now I don’t believe for a minute that everyone who pressure cans stands there staring at the gauge for the entire processing time, but now the professionals have said no to a pressure cooker I feel duty bound not to do it.  So, high acid foods, I can water bath can, low acid foods I have to live without or buy pre-prepared.  Like who actually eats canned meat and fish?  In a crisis however, it’s better than nothing…I think.  Okay.  The bulk grains thing that American Preppers have going on, is it me or do British farmers have a problem with selling grains to an individual? I asked three or four, only to be met with blank stares on three occasions and raised eyebrows from the fourth.  I can’t see the problem, they will sell me eggs, they sell nets of cabbages and onions, and even sacks of potatoes but wheat, barley and corn…no chance."

Surveillance Video Shows Tidal Wave Of Looters Ransacking Ferguson, Missouri Market
"In a bid to identify more than 180 looters, police today released surveillance video from inside a Ferguson, Missouri market that was ransacked following the November 24 announcement that a grand jury had declined to vote indictments in the Michael Brown case.  As seen below, the 5:16 clip captures a tidal wave of looters flooding into the Dellwood Market, which had also been robbed in the days after Brown was shot to death by a Ferguson cop last August.  After failing to breach the market’s front door, the initial influx of looters broke through a boarded-up window.  Many of the thieves--some of whom escaped with potato chips--are seen wearing hoodies, masks, and hats in an apparent attempt to cloak their identities."
(Sgt Trainer:  This will give you an idea of what you could be facing in the event of any sort of disaster/breakdown in society if you expect to be able to get things from the store when said event occurs.)

3 Types Of Thieves Preppers Should Be Planning For
"The purpose of this article is to discuss the Human threat to your retreat location.  This Human threat can take on multiple modes, some very dangerous to your safety and others not so much.  The trick, of course, is figuring out the nature of each and every encounter while you can still affect the outcome.  Much like playing in a Role-Playing-Game (RPG), you won’t know the nature of an encounter until you’re in it.  Will you benefit from it?  Will you be in danger because of it?  What type of benefit might you obtain or what threat might you face?  There is no way of knowing in advance, and every encounter carries some degree of risk.  With a RPG such things are decided by a roll of dice.  With real life things are decided by the minds and morals of men, though some might consider the “fickle finger of fate” in the mix as well."

When Did We Become so Afraid?
"As someone who in the last year has moved from prepper acquisition mode of material goods to prepper acquisition mode of knowledge, one universal thought from the preparedness community has become painfully apparent:  When did we all become so afraid?  I am certainly not speaking of scary movies, a final exam, or a speech in front of colleagues.  What I am referring to here are items of necessity to survival that were virtually the only items taken for granted by our long-dead relatives.  Although I spend what often feels like countless, wasteful hours on Facebook preparedness pages in search of information that will assist in keeping my family alive, I typically “stalk” said pages rather than participate.  Why?  Of course you would ask because after all, I am a self described harbinger of preparedness prep.  The answer is a simple one.  So many people have become afraid that they are paralyzed and therefore plunged into helplessness, or so ego-riffic in their fear (“THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN MY LIFETIME”) that they are just as paralyzed into non-learning as the helpless."

Keep Your Health Costs Under Control!  7 Ways To Do It

How To Make Seed Tape
"Planting vegetables with tiny seeds can be wasteful and a pain. Traditional methods have you sowing way more seeds than you need, then coming back and thinning after they sprout.  The traditional method finds the plants competing for resources in the soil as well.  This video highlights a nice way to space out your sprouts nice and even.  Just a few minutes on the front end and you will have perfectly spaced plants that are healthy and thriving."

Simple Secrets of Food Dehydration
"Buying canned goods and extra bags of flour and sugar has been the easiest part of food storage for me.  Dehydrating my own food seemed to belong in the same category as spinning my own wool.  Yes, it can be done, but why would I want to go through all the trouble??!  I found out for myself that dehydrating food is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to stock up.  Now, if I say it’s easy, you know.  It’s easy!  The foods are fresh with no additives of any kind, so I know exactly what my family is consuming.  I save money since commercially dried fruits and herbs, in particular, have a premium price at the market."

Dealing with Depression When the SHTF
"Something I changed in my life about a year ago was my dependency on prescription medication for anxiety.  I am NOT a doctor.  If you are on medication, and want off of them, talk to your doctor first.   I took anti anxiety medication because I homeschooled my 4 children, two of which were ADD and ADHD.  I also cared for my mother who lived here with us.  This was all a recipe for disaster for me.  I was a yeller.  The meds helped me be more even keeled.  If I had had oils then I would have used them for me and my boys.  Three years ago my mother passed away.  The boys have also both graduated and moved out.  I am in a better place and decided, for myself, that I didn’t want to be dependent on meds any longer.  I chose to wean myself off.  I have been doing fine and have not felt the need to go back on them.  I also have my oils now. If I feel myself slipping, which is normally hormonally related, I just break out my oils.  I had visions of TSHTF and my stash of meds running out.  The last thing I needed was to be cold turkey in the middle of a crisis.  I did the whole refill-before-the-month-is-up so as to get a stockpile going.  It wasn’t good enough.  So what do you do to handle TSHTF and depression?  Again, I am no doctor, but these are my thoughts.   The stress for us all is going to be high.  Add to that the population who is running out of various medications.  It won’t be pretty."

Late Winter Plot Management
"By this time of the year, most everyone’s hunting season is over or starting to wind down and not many guys are thinking about growing plots or feeding their deer.  With some cold and nasty weather still possible for the next few weeks, it’s a great time to sit down and start planning for the upcoming growing season.  There may be some things you thought of while sitting in your deer stand this fall that you would like to accomplish on the property you manage.  One of the first things I like to do in February and March is pull soil samples on my plots and get them sent in to see if I need to add any lime and see what fertilizer will be needed for my warm season annuals that will be planted in late April/early May.  If you had soil samples taken this fall you will already have an idea of where your plots are in needing lime or nutrients.  Have an up to date sample of the areas you plant to plant this spring and if the ph is low, have lime spread in the late winter/early spring.  This will give the ag lime time to start working on the soil for your spring/summer plots and also those fields that are left fallow through the summer and are typically only planted in the fall.  Depending on the size of the screen that the lime is run through at the quarry, the granular consistency of ag lime can take several months to break down and begin to neutralize the acidity in your soil."

Kansas:  Permitless Carry Legislation Introduced
"Today, a bill recognizing Kansans’ freedom to legally carry a concealed firearm without the burdensome requirement of acquiring a Kansas concealed carry handgun license (CCHL) was introduced in the Kansas Senate.  Authored by Senate Majority Leader Terry Bruce (R-34), Senate Bill 45 is an important fix to current Kansas law and has already received 26 cosponsors.  SB 45 is a necessary update to concealed carry in Kansas, allowing law-abiding gun owners the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones.  In Kansas, it is already legal to carry a firearm openly, as long as the individual is not prohibited by law from possessing a firearm.  However, under current law, if a firearm becomes covered by a coat or if a woman prefers to carry a firearm for self-protection in her purse, one would need to possess a CCHL.  This permitless carry legislation gives Kansans the freedom to choose the best method of carrying for them, based on their attire, gender and/or physical attributes.  SB 45 is an important pro-gun reform that deserves your support, and your NRA-ILA will keep you updated as this legislation is assigned to committee and moves through the legislative process."

Winter Gardening Tricks, Tips And Secrets
"Cultivating a vegetable garden is an important part of becoming self-sufficient.  When a disaster strikes, the food grown in that garden can literally make the difference between life and death for the family.  That’s why starting a garden now, before a crisis can hit, is essential for preparing your family.  Not only will it help you build your food stockpile, but it will allow you the time you need to have, in order to learn the necessary skills, before you have to use them.  Gardening has its limitations, though; at least, it does for most people.  Few are as fortunate as I am, living in a climate that is warm enough that you can grow produce outdoors in your garden year-round.   However, you don’t need a warm climate in order to grow produce year round.  With a few steps of preparation, you can grow year-round in pretty much any climate."
