"Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) plans to meet with incoming ATF director Thomas Brandon and talk to him about reviving the AR-15 ammo ban on the M855 round. Breitbart News previously reported that current ATF director B. Todd Jones tendered his resignation on March 20 in the wake of the AR-15 ammo ban backlash and will be relinquishing his office at the end of the month. At that time, his deputy director, Brandon, will be taking the agency’s reins at that time. According to The Hill, Israel wants to meet with Brandon to encourage the agency to revive the ban. Israel is convinced Jones handled the ban “sloppily,” which led to the ban being pulled. He “[hopes] under new leadership the ATF can have a more transparent and responsive process” than during the failed ban push. On the other side of the aisle, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.) says Jones’ departure marks the end of the AR-15 ammo ban. Moreover, he said “the departure of Jones is further proof the ATF should be eliminated.”

"Hundreds of disabled Americans are killed in police encounters across the US every year, many of whom are people of color, according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The ACLU filed a brief to the US Supreme court on Friday arguing that hundreds of Americans with disabilities and mental disorders die every year at the hands of police and many more become seriously injured. “Many of these deaths and injuries are needless, the tragic result of police failing to use well-established and effective law enforcement practices that take disability into account,” the ACLU wrote. The civil liberties advocacy group filed the brief in support of a mentally ill woman who is suing San Francisco police for shooting her five times. The US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case on Monday."

When Jade Helm 15 originally broke on the internet, government trolls and the uninformed immediate pounced all over the comment sections of websites reporting the story, calling it false, made-up, fiction, and videographer Lorri Anderson addresses the trolls in the video below, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Jade Helm 15 exercises are 'real' via the words of Jade Helm Operations Planner Thomas Meade who tells us himself that additional operations will be held in Florida and Mississippi in addition to the other 7 states previously reported. "Lobbying lawmakers for a rate hike is one thing, but now Montana’s biggest electric and gas utility is battling to block a referendum on expanding gun rights. Publicly regulated NorthWestern Energy contends the measure would make it harder to keep their workplaces weapons-free. But the Montana Shooting Sports Association accuses the utility of sticking its nose into a political debate where it doesn’t belong. “NorthWestern is opposing a bill that has nothing to do with their corporate mission delivering electricity to its customers,” the group’s Gary Marbut told FoxNews.com Monday. He claimed NorthWestern’s opposition was contrary to the interests of its 542,000 gas and electric customers in Montana, most of whom are avid gun owners and hunters. “Because they are a large corporation and have been given a monopoly by the Public Service Commission, they really have no business weighing in on civil rights,” Marbut said."

When it comes to the one resource that you need more than any other, it’s a good idea to learn as many methods of filtration as you can, because the situations you might find yourself in without clean water, are highly variable. The tools that are available in one situation may be lacking in another, so you should have a long list of water filtration methods in your head. "Starting April 1st, felons will no longer be the only ones in the state of Wisconsin to have their DNA forcibly taken. The state is expanding its DNA collection regime to include ALL criminal misdemeanor convictions. The new law being implemented is expected to exponentially increase the number of samples being analyzed in Madison. The current number of DNA profiles created, from the felons’ samples, ranges from 10,000-12,000 per year. Of those cases, 550 positive hits were made on unsolved cases, according to Fox 6. The number of samples is expected to potentially increase to an estimated 60,000 samples being collected per year. Police make the case that perhaps thousands of unsolved crimes could be solved."
"While legislation expanding how and where Texans can carry weapons is dominating the Legislature this week, one state lawmaker is targeting the doctor’s office as a place to keep the federal government from learning who owns guns. Over the objections of the medical community, state Rep. Stuart Spitzer, R-Kaufman, has filed a bill that would prohibit doctors from asking patients whether they own a firearm and makes the Texas Medical Board, which licenses physicians, responsible for doling out punishment. “Pediatricians are asking children away from their parents, ‘Do you have guns in your house?’ and then reporting this on the electronic health records, and then the federal government, frankly, has access to who has guns and who doesn’t,” Spitzer said in a recent interview. He said he experienced the phenomenon firsthand when he took his daughter to the doctor, who asked her whether there were any guns in the house. Spitzer, a surgeon, said he wanted to make sure that doctors “have the right not to ask that.”
